Generally, with higher-end daiginjo, the delicate aromatics are some of the best qualities to showcase, which is why many brewers recommend using white wine glasses. I personally think that wine glasses would be a good choice as well, as it encourages sipping and appreciating the finer qualities whereas smaller porcelain ware may unintentionally induce gulping. That being said, I believe it could potentially be a fun exercise to have both sets of vessels and try to find the subtle differences in how each one expresses different qualities. With a product of this caliber, I’m confident in saying that no matter which vessel you choose, the sake will still remain delicious!

Let us know how that horn shape cup worked for you. My default when having a fragrant sake is a riesling glass - but that is just a preference. Let me add though that cups made from traditional materials in different shapes and forms enhances the overall experience more. Kampai!
