Hello!
Sake generally has an alcohol level of around 15%-17% abv, which is slightly stronger than wine. And it's typically enjoyed in sips rather than gulps, from 2oz - 4oz pours. Most of our sake bottles are 720ml size or about 24oz, which is slightly smaller than a 750ml regular wine bottle size.
All of those taken into account, 1-2 pours of sake is sufficient for you to enjoy your meal and your company. This means with four people, you should finish a bottle in a night no problem, and with slightly higher alcohol tolerance perhaps you can work on the second bottle.
Everyone reacts to different alcoholic beverages differently, so please take it easy and see how sharing a first bottle with friends might work. No problem if you want to open a bottle for yourself. Sake can be stored in the refrigerator for a while after opening, generally longer than white wine.
