is there a production date on the bottle？

It depends on the policy of the breweries or their importers whether to show production dates on their bottles. But I can assure you we don't accept anything older than one year and/or wasn't stored in the right conditions. It usually takes 3 months after shipping from the breweries to get to the West coast. And as long as they keep their inventory moving, the sake we receive are typically 3-6 months old. If you have a particular bottle that has the bottling date in a code, Our customer service team would be happy to ask the brewery to figure out the date.
